Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics

Oman Dental College is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics. Suitable candidates must possess a dental qualification with a higher academic and/or clinical qualification in Prosthodontics, and should have a proven record of undergraduate teaching and research. The candidate should also be capable and willing to supervise students in general dental care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment materials in relation to Prosthodontics.
• Effectively deliver didactic, practical and clinical teaching, learning, supervision and training relevant to Prosthodontics.
• Coordinate and manage any clinical laboratories or other practical teaching areas within Prosthodontics..
• Provide high quality clinical care as a dentist
• Research, organize and manage instructional resources, courses outlines, and community networks.
• Perform the duties of clinical/academic advisor a as appropriate for an allocated number of students
• Prepare assessment materials in relation to Prosthodontics.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) and Specialty Membership or Board Certification
• Minimum of 3 years teaching undergraduate dental students
• Significant research publication output in reputable peer-reviewed international journals.

Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD

Additional Information:

Confirmation of this appointment is subject to the successful applicant meeting the required approval from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation as well as obtaining specialist clinical licensing by the Ministry of Health to practice Prosthodontics at Oman Dental College.
